Things we're learning...

Chloe is literally a sponge these days. I'll do something, say something, try something, and next thing I know...she's trying it too. Sooo I've been trying to have fun with all she is learning rather than leave it to chance that she pick what she'd like to mimic.

Here are a few of the recent "new" progressions:

Words: Buh Bye (while waving), Baby (to her baby dolls and any pictures she sees of babies), and Da da....for Daddy!

Physically: We're taking some steps! This started a few weeks ago where she will take a few steps between Chris and I. Then it progressed that she leave the table or couch side to come to one of us. Now, she just takes off on her own. Sadly this is not without wobble or injury. We have to watch her very closely because she thinks she is ready to go....but still has a little learning.

Emotionally: She still has separation anxiety and I'm in no rush for her to be rid of it. Of course she is fine after a few minutes if I just have to leave her but thank the Lord I rarely do and I LOVE that she is still a Mommy's girl.

And just for fun:
We recently had a little pouring lesson in the kitchen. I got a big red bowl and put some water in it and then gave her lots of tools to learn to stir, pour, and dump with. Of course the red bowl eventually got dumped too leaving us both drenched but then we laughed together...really hard and changed clothes. It was super fun.

Then one morning Chris let our little cupcake have a lesson in our bathroom in what he calls gravity, I call waste. You decide.... She clearly LOVED that lesson too and I'm still wiping from the pile because I'm just to cheap to trash it all.

We're days away from 11 months which means 1 month away from her 1 year milestone. I'm fighting back tears as I type that. Where has our year with our baby gone?!
