Callie's movie debut

Prior to Chloe's arrival, the most recent "baby" in the McNally family was Callie, my parents chocolate lab. Her sweet mama was run over only 2 weeks after having a liter of 11 puppies. So we got Callie at about 3 weeks and she resembled more of a rat than a chocolate lab. Good thing we really trusted the breeders and sure enough in time she did start to look like the lab we'd hoped for. Getting a 3 week old puppy was a lot of work and what better time to take that on than during the initial weeks of my Dad's recovery from brain surgery? To this day I'm still not sure who took more care of who...Dad of Callie or Callie of Dad but somehow they worked their way from cuddling on the couch as fragile friends to taking long walks on the greenbelt and rough housing with any toy Callie can find. Needless to say Callie has a sweet demeanor and unending trust for my Dad. Really she thinks he is her Mom.

Long story short, Callie's been the baby for a long time. Even I am guilty of treating her as such and spoiling her rotten during her visits to Austin. She's probably the only one that wasn't instantly enthused with Chloe's arrival. Suddenly she gets shhh'ed for barking, gates block her to restricted parts of our house when she visits, and everyone does baby talk to someone other than her. Since her new life is a rough life, I thought she at least deserved a video spot on Crack Team Chronicles....of course shared with a precious sleeping Chloe.

Enjoy!
